Baligh Hamdi
Baligh Hamdi ( arz, بليغ حمدى ; 7 October 1931 – 12 September 1993) was an Egyptian composer who created and composed many hit songs for several Middle Eastern singers, especially during the 1960s and 1970s. He composed Warda's most famous songs, and the two got married for a long period. Early years Baligh Abdel Hamid Hamdi Morsi was born on 7 October 1931 in the Shubra district of Cairo. His father was a professor of physics at King Fuad I University (now Cairo University). He learned to play the violin at age nine, and the oud two or three years later. He took music lessons with a variety of teachers throughout childhood and teenage years. He became a professional musician in 1954 at age 22. Shubra
Shoubra ( ar, شبرا, ; Coptic: '; also written Shubra or Shobra) is one of the largest districts of Cairo, Egypt and it is administratively divided into three areas: Shubra, Road El Farag, and Elsahel. Etymology Although Shoubra has been immensely large for the last few decades, the name originally derives from the Coptic word ', which means a small village or field, as the area is well known for its rich fields that neighbour the Nile River. "Big Pimpin'" is a song by American rapper Jay-Z. It was released on April 11, 2000 as the third and final single from his fourth studio album '' Vol. 3... Life and Times of S. Carter'' (1999). It features a guest appearance from Southern hip hop duo UGK, and production from Timbaland. Sampling controversy "Big Pimpin'" contained a sample of "Khosara Khosara", an instrumental performed by Hossam Ramzy and originally composed by Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdi in 1957. In 2007, Hamdi's relative Osama Ahmed Fahmy filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Federal Court alleging that producer Timbaland's use of the track was unlicensed, while its use of a sampled loop, instead of the full unaltered track, violated Hamdi's "moral rights". He additionally claimed that Jay-Z needed permission from each of Hamdi's four children to use the track, as they owned its copyright after Hamdi's death in 1993. Abdel Rahman El-Abnudi
Abdel Rahman el-Abnudi ( ar , عبد الرحمن الأبنودي , translit=ʻAbd il-Raḥmān Abnūdī , translit-std=ALA, 11 April 1938 – 21 April 2015) was a popular Egyptian poet, and later a children's books writer. He was one of a generation of poets who favored to write their work in the Egyptian dialect (in Abnudi's case, Upper Egyptian dialect) rather than Standard Arabic, the formal language of the state.
