Bali Peace Park
The Bali Peace Park is a proposed memorial dedicated to the victims of the Bali bombing, intended to be located at the site of the Sari Club, which was the second target of the attack. 2002 Bali Bombings
The 2002 Bali bombings occurred on 12 October 2002 in the tourist district of Kuta on the Indonesian island of Bali. The attack killed 202 people (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, 23 Britons, and people of more than 20 other nationalities). A further 209 people were injured. Various members of Jemaah Islamiyah, a violent Islamist group, were convicted in relation to the bombings, including three individuals who were sentenced to death. The attack involved the detonation of three bombs: a backpack-mounted device carried by a suicide bomber; a large car bomb, both of which were detonated in or near popular nightclubs in Kuta; and a third much smaller device detonated outside the United States consulate in Denpasar, causing only minor damage. Badung Regency
Badung is a regency of Bali, Indonesia. Its regency seat is in the upland town of Mangupura. It covers districts to the west of the provincial capital of Denpasar, and it has a land area of 418.52 km2. The regency had a population of 548,191 at the 2020 Census. It has undergone a population boom in recent decades (although not between 2010 and 2020), and has grown into the largest of the suburban regions of Greater Denpasar. I Made Mangku Pastika AO (born 22 June 1951) is an Indonesian politician and retired National Police (1974–2008) commissioner general who was the 9th Governor of Bali.
