Bale Gasegar
Bale Gasegar is one of the woredas in Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. It is part of the Arsi Zone. It was separated from Seru woreda. Demographics The 207 national census reported a total population for this woreda of 73,952, of whom 36,419 were men and 37,533 were women; 5,913 or 8% of its population were urban dwellers. Districts Of Ethiopia
Districts of Ethiopia, also called woredas ( am, ወረዳ; ''woreda''), are the third level of the administrative divisions of Ethiopia – after ''zones'' and the '' regional states''. These districts are further subdivided into a number of wards called ''kebele'' neighbourhood associations, which are the smallest unit of local government in Ethiopia. Overview Districts are typically collected together into zones, which form a region; districts which are not part of a zone are designated Special Districts and function as autonomous entities. Arsi Zone
Arsi ( om, Godina Arsii) is a zone in Oromia Region of Ethiopia, named after a clan of the Oromo, who inhabit in the area. Arsi is bordered on the south by Bale Zone, on the southwest by the West Arsi Zone, on the northwest by East Shewa Zone, on the north by the Afar Region and on the east by West Hararghe Zone. It covers an area of 19,825.22 km2, divided into 25 districts (''weredas''). The population was officially estimated at 3,894,248 in mid 2022. The highest point in Arsi Zone is Mount Chilalo; other notable mountains in this zone include Mount Kaka and Mount Gugu. Arsi Mountains National Park was created in 2011 to protect a section of the mountains. Seru
Seru is a town in south-eastern Ethiopia. Seru is also capital of one of the 22 districts of Arsi zone, Located in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of with an elevation of 2302 meters above sea level. It is the administrative center of Seru woreda. It is bordered by Amigna district in the north and northwest, Robe district in west and southwest, Bale Zone in the south and southeast and west Hararghe in the east. Having the total area of 2412km2 it is the largest district from the zone (11.48%). Seru district has 32 peasant association of which 2 (Seru Abas and Bele) are urban administrative units. Islam is the second-largest religion in Ethiopia behind Christianity, with 31.3 to 35.9 percent of the total population of around 113.5 million people professing the religion as of 2022.
