Bohuslav Balbín
Bohuslav Balbín (3 December 1621 Hradec Králové (German: Königgrätz) – 29 November 1688 Prague) was a Czech writer, historian, geographer and Jesuit, called the "Czech Pliny". He became well known also as an advocate of the Czech language in the time of incoming germanization of the Czech lands. Life Balbín was born in Hradec Králové into a middle class Roman Catholic family. He was educated mostly in the Jesuit schools, he soon joined the Society of Jesus. After finishing studies in philosophy at University of Olomouc, he taught in Jesuit colleges in Prague, Třeboň, Brno, Jičín, Jindřichův Hradec and Český Krumlov. After writing of several textbooks and didactic theatre plays, he also became acquainted with historical sources of archives and libraries. His entire life was devoted to collecting and editing materials about Czech history, and his researches have often been utilized by the Bollandists. Balbín died, aged 66, in Prague. Adán Adolfo Balbín Silva (born 13 October 1986) is a Peruvian footballer. He currently plays for Sport Boys and the Peru national team, as a defensive midfielder or centre back. Club career Balbín started his professional career with his hometown club Unión Huaral in 2005. Then in 2007 he joined first division club Coronel Bolognesi. There the manager of Bolognesi at the time, Juan Reynoso, decided to use him as a centre back. With Bolognesi he won his first professional title, which was the 2007 Torneo Clausura. Carla Toscano de Balbín (born 14 November 1977 in Madrid) is a Spanish politician and a member of the Congress of Deputies for Vox since May 2019. Biography Balbín was born and raised in Madrid. She attended the Complutense University of Madrid where she studied for a degree in law followed by a master's degree in linguistics. She then worked in the field of humanitarian aid before entering politics. During the April 2019 Spanish general election, Balbín was elected to the Congress of Deputies for the Madrid constituency.
