Record (television Network)
Record (), formerly known as Rede Record, RecordTV and Recó, is a Brazilian free-to-air television network. It is currently the second largest commercial TV station in Brazil, and the 28th largest in the 2012 world ranking. In 2010, it was elected by the advertising market as the fifth largest station in the world in revenues and the eighth largest network in physical structure. In June 2021, it ranked second among the most watched channels in the country in the National Television Panel, behind only TV Globo. As the main member of the media company Grupo Record, the network is headquartered in São Paulo, where most of its programming is also generated at the Dermeval Gonçalves Theater, and has a branch in Rio de Janeiro, where its telenovelas and other formats are produced at the Casablanca Estúdios (RecNov) complex. ''Spartacus'' is an American television series produced in New Zealand that premiered on Starz on January 22, 2010, and concluded on April 12, 2013. The fiction series was inspired by the historical figure of Spartacus, a Thracian gladiator who from 73 to 71 BC led a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic departing from Capua. ''Ilha Record'' ( English: ''Record Island'') is a Brazilian reality competition format originally created and aired by RecordTV. The series premiered on Monday, July 26, 2021 at / ( BRT / AMT Amt is a type of administrative division governing a group of municipalities, today only in Germany, but formerly also common in other countries of Northern Europe. Its size and functions differ by country and the term is roughly equivalent to ...). The show features a group of celebrities, known as Explorers, living together on a desert island and competing against each other in extreme challenges to avoid being exiled and continue their quest for lost treasures and the grand prize of R$500.000. Prior to the live finale, a public vote is held to determine who would become the season's Favorite Explorer and win the special prize of R$250.000. Wife Swap (British TV Series)
''Wife Swap'' is a British reality television programme produced by independent television production company RDF Media and created by Stephen Lambert for Channel 4, first broadcast in 2003 and ran for 7 years before being cancelled. The show returned for a one-off special episode on 15 June 2017. In the programme, two families, usually from different social classes and lifestyles, swap wives/mothers – and sometimes husbands – for two weeks. In fact, the programme will usually deliberately swap wives with dramatically different lifestyles, such as a messy wife swapping with a fastidiously neat one. Despite using a phrase from the swinging lifestyle, couples participating in the show do not share a bed with the "swapped" spouse while "swapping" homes. In November 2009, Channel 4 announced that they had cancelled ''Wife Swap'', and no new episodes of the show would be made for the channel. The final episode was broadcast in December 2009. All Together Now (UK TV Series)
''All Together Now'' is a British reality television music competition which first aired on BBC One on 27 January 2018. It was presented by Rob Beckett and Geri Halliwell (credited as Geri Horner). Michael Rice was crowned the winner of the first series on 3 March 2018. A second series was announced on 28 March 2018 and a one-off celebrity special aired on 24 December 2018, with Laurie Brett crowned as winner. In June 2019, the BBC decided to cancel the show after two series. Format In every episode, a range of singers take to the stage, but waiting to judge each performance is 'The 100' – a unique panel of one hundred music experts and performers from across the UK headed up by Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell. There are six episodes in the series, consisting of five heats and the final. Rodrigo Faro
Rodrigo Alcazar Faro (born 20 October 1973) is a Brazilian television presenter, actor and singer. Career He started his career at the age of 9 in 1982 when he participated in a milk commercial. As a child he was a model and presenter of the children's program ZYB Bom on TV Bandeirantes. At 19, he integrated the boyband Dominó, before graduating in radio and TV by the University of São Paulo. In 1996 he starred his first telenovela, ''Antônio Alves, Taxista'', on SBT. In 2008, he moved to RecordTV to present '' Ídolos''. However, before making his debut in the musical reality, he was called to quickly replace presenter Márcio Garcia in ''O Melhor do Brasil''. Later in August he debuted as the presenter of ''Ídolos''. Rodrigo stayed in charge of the program for four seasons, being succeeded by Marcos Mion in 2012. ''Canta Comigo'' ( English: ''Sing with Me'') is a Brazilian reality television music competition show based on the British television series '' All Together Now''. The series premiered on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at ( BRT / AMT) on RecordTV. The series is known for being the final show Gugu Liberato hosted prior to his death on November 21, 2019. Rodrigo Faro, who had already hosted the first season of the teen series in 2020, replaced Gugu as the main series host in 2021. Format In each episode, a range of singers take to the stage, but waiting to judge each performance is 'The 100' - a unique panel of one hundred music experts and performers from across Brazil. Mariana Rios
Mariana Rios Botelho (born 4 July 1985) is a Brazilian actress and singer-songwriter. Biography Rios began singing at age seven. To begin her career, she moved to Uberaba, where she played several gigs with local bar bands. She participated in music festivals and was hired by a studio to sing jingles. At 15 she moved to Rio de Janeiro and graduated in Casa de Arte das Laranjeiras. Before joining the cast of the telenovela '' Malhação'', she participated in two musicals with Oswaldo Montenegro. In 2008, she joined the cast of the telenovela ''Malhação'' as Yasmin, a 17-year-old girl whose parents are often absent and try to compensate this by buying her expensive gifts.
