Bal Chandra Poudel
Bal Chandra Poudel ( ne, बालचन्द्र पौडेल; born 8 Asaar 2016 B.S.) is a Nepali Politician from the Nepali Congress party. He was Party President for the district of Rasuwa for several decades. Poudel spent most of his youth in prison fighting against the Panchayat regime. He contested several parliamentary elections representing Nepali Congress but lost it all times: one in 1991, against popular leader Ram Krishna Acharya; a founding member of Rastriya Prajatantra Party. Political career Poudel entered politics in 1974 inspired by the social-democratic ideals of Nepali Congress. His political career is believed to be very honest and ideal. Poudel is well known for his keen participation in anti-panchayat movements in Nepal. Nepal Ratna Girija Prasad Koirala ( ne, गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइराला ; 4 July 1924 – 20 March 2010), affectionately known as Girija Babu, was a Nepalese politician.
