Baker High School is located in unincorporated Mobile County, Alabama, west of Mobile, and is a public high school operated by the Mobile County Public School System. The school educates students in grades 9- 12. Baker High School is the largest high school in Mobile County with over 2,300 students enrolled and the second largest school in the state of Alabama. History Baker School (Now Baker High School), established in 1903, was originally a one classroom school for grades 1-12. In 1927, the school became an official part of the Mobile County Public School System. This change brought new buildings to the campus. In 1930, the building to the right of the original school house would serve as the main building. The school received so much growth to the extent that a state-of-the-art building had to be built behind the historic structure. Baker High School (Georgia)
Baker High School is located in Columbus, Georgia, United States. It was built in 1943 near Fort Benning. It was named for Newton Diehl Baker, Secretary of War during World War I. The first graduates received their diplomas in 1945. Baker High served Columbus and Fort Benning for nearly fifty years, producing graduates who excelled in scholarship, athletics, and the arts. The last class of seniors graduated on June 6, 1991. The Baker name lives on at Baker Middle School a few blocks east on Benning Drive. On May 18, 2013, a historical marker was placed at the site of the former school by the Historic Chattahoochee Commission and the Baker High School Alumni Association. Baker High School is an accredited public high school in Baker, Louisiana. It is a part of the City of Baker School System. About the school Baker High School was founded in the early 1900s and resides in Baker, a town in north East Baton Rouge Parish. BHS provides an assortment of regular and honors level courses, and College Dual Enrollment opportunities with BRCC. All 10th through 12th grade students are required to wear uniforms which includes a red polo style shirt with khakis. There is a ninth grade academy in which students are required to wear white uniform shirts. Shann Schillinger
Shann Schillinger (born May 22, 1986) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at the University of Mary; a position he has held since 2023. He previously coached for Dickinson State, Nebraska, Montana, and Mississippi State. He played college football for Montana as a linebacker and was drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft to the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Tennessee Titans. Early years Schillinger attended Baker High School, where he was a four-year letterman in football, and his varsity teams had an overall record of 49–1. He was a two-time all-state selection. As a senior, he passed for 1,059 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 650 yards and 14 touchdowns. Charles W
The F/V ''Charles W'', also known as Annie J Larsen, is a historic fishing schooner anchored in Petersburg, Alaska. At the time of its retirement in 2000, it was the oldest fishing vessel in the fishing fleet of Southeast Alaska, and the only known wooden fishing vessel in the entire state still in active service. Launched in 1907, she was first used in the halibut fisheries of Puget Sound and the Bering Sea as the ''Annie J Larsen''. In 1925 she was purchased by the Alaska Glacier Seafood Company, refitted for shrimp trawling, and renamed ''Charles W'' in honor of owner Karl Sifferman's father. The company was one of the pioneers of the local shrimp fishery, a business it began to phase out due to increasing competition in the 1970s.
