Bajram Curri
Bajram Curri (16 January 1862 – 29 March 1925) was an Albanian chieftain, politician and activist who struggled for the independence of Albania, later struggling for Kosovo's incorporation into it following the 1913 Treaty of London. He was posthumously given the title Hero of Albania. Early life Bajram Curri was born in 1862 or 1866 in Rahovec. Most of the sources place year of birth as 1862, while more recent sources based on his recently discovered passport state 1866. His family originated in Krasniqi (present Tropojë), in the Highlands of Gjakova. At his birth, the Curri family was led to the Ottoman prison in Krushë e Madhe, Rahovec; his father Shaqir Aga had led a rebellion in Krasniq against the Ottomans due to heavy taxes and military recruitment, and had been interned by them. Bajram Fetai ( mk, Бајрам Фетаи; born 7 September 1985) is a Macedonian football coach, former player, and actor. He is of Albanian ethnicity. Club career He spent the early part of his career in Scotland, where he was a youth player at Rangers. At Rangers he made one first team appearance against Dunfermline in March 2004. The following season he had a loan spell at Inverness Caledonian Thistle before leaving Rangers for Silkeborg in 2005. In 2010, he gained infamy after his "violent goal celebration" scoring for FC Nordsjælland against his old club Silkeborg, was widely distributed on the internet. Bajram Kelmendi
Bajram Kelmendi (1937–1999) was an ethnic Albanian lawyer and human rights activist in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. Life He was born into an ethnic Albanian family near Peć, part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. His surname is derived from an ancestor hailing from the Kelmend region in northwest Albania. At the age of eighteen (in 1955), he was sentenced to one year in prison for criticizing the forced immigration of Albanians to Turkey. Later he studied law. Kelmendi was among the founders of Council for Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms in Pristina and on 3 May 1998 filed charges at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia ( ICTY) in The Hague against Slobodan Milošević for crimes committed in Kosovo. Bajram Kosumi (born 20 March 1960, in Kosova, Kamenica , is a Kosovar politician who served as the third prime minister of Kosovo for nearly one year. He was nominated by Kosovan President Ibrahim Rugova and elected Prime Minister by the Kosovo Parliament on 23 March 2005 following his predecessor Ramush Haradinaj's . Kosumi resigned on 1 March 2006 amid widespread unpopularity and was replaced by former general leader Agim Çeku. He also served as the deputy chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo. Bajram Nebihi (born 5 August 1988) is a Kosovan professional footballer who plays as a forward or attacking midfielder. Career Nebihi began his career with TSV Ingolstadt Nord and was the scouted by city rival Grün-Weiß Ingolstadt. After two years with Grün-Weiß, he signed for FC Ingolstadt 04 in July 2002. In 2005, at the age of almost 17, he left Ingolstadt, where he had grown up and joined Jahn Regensburg. But there he stayed only a year and left then for TSV Aindling. Bajram Rexhepi (3 June 1954 – 21 August 2017), was a Kosovar politician who served as the first elected post-war prime minister and later as interior minister of Kosovo and as a member of the Kosovo Assembly. He was a member of the second largest political party in Kosovo, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). Early life and education Rexhepi was born in Mitrovica, Kosovo on 3 June 1954. Bajram Curri (), formerly known as Kolgecaj, is a town and administrative unit in the municipality of Tropojë, northeastern Albania, within the historical ethnographic region of the Gjakova Highlands. The town is located in a remote and mountainous region of the Albanian Alps, within the Valbonë Valley, and close to the border with Kosovo.
