Baja Mar
Baja Mar (or Bajamar) is a seaside resort community twenty minutes north of Ensenada and forty minutes south of Greater San Diego–Tijuana in Ensenada Municipality, Baja California, Mexico. The resort community is located just south of another gringo community, La Salina – host of the Puerto Salina marina. History The idea of the resort at Baja Mar was developed in 1975 by Grupo Valcas, a resort developer. Planning, development and initial construction of what would become the Bajamar Ocean Front Golf Resort was begun by Grupo Valcas as well. The master infrastructure of the community was developed so that, unlike nearby cities, it would maintain underground basic utilities. The resort company also developed the first 18 holes of the master planned golf course network. The resort opened to the general public in July 1976 and has since been given the nickname of ''The Pebble Beach South of the Border''. Baja Malibu
Baja Malibu is a beach and resort in Tijuana Municipality, Baja California named after the beach town Malibu of Los Angeles County. The beach is a popular tourist area in the San Diego–Tijuana metropolitan region and draws surfers from all over Southern California. Recreation There are many resorts and luxury hotels & condominiums lining the beach at Baja Malibu. At the entrance of Baja Malibu is the BM Surf Bar which offers food, drink, pool, sports viewing and live music. The bar also offers paid parking for surfers. La Salina, Baja California
La Salina Del Mar is a gringo community in the Mexican state of Baja California. It is located on the beach 73 km south of Tijuana at 32° 03´36" N 116° 52´ 42" W. La Salina is the home of Puerto Salina, the first marina in Mexico south of the United States border on the Pacific Ocean. This harbor has become silted in over the past several years and is impassable to anything larger than a jet ski or a panga. At low tide no vessel of any sort can enter the harbor. The annual gray whale migration path is approx 1 km off the coast and they can often be seen surfacing from the beach.
