Bainbridge is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Conoy Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States, with a ZIP code of 17502. Bainbridge is located along Pennsylvania Route 441. As of the 2010 census the population was 1,355. Before European settlement, Bainbridge was the site of a Conoy village in the first decades of the 18th century, possibly called Conejoholo. History Bainbridge became home to the Conoy and Nanticoke tribes in the early 1700s when English settlers pushed them out of their original homes. Before the move, the Conoys lived in the area that is now Baltimore, and the Nanticokes lived across the Chesapeake Bay in what is now Delaware. In 1632, there were about 2,500 among the tribes, and by 1697 there were only about 300 due to diseases brought over by the English. The International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) was created to act as the world governing body for the sport of pickleball. The IFP was founded in 2010 by the USA Pickleball Association (USAPA), now USA Pickleball (USAP). The IFP is a nonprofit organization that focuses its resources on providing support to national and local pickleball organizations. The IFP's goals include creating and maintaining official rules across all of pickleball, organizing international tournaments, and most crucially, spreading the sport of pickleball across the world. The IFP's main goal is to have the sport of pickleball added to the Olympic Games. Bainbridge College
Bainbridge State College was a public college in Bainbridge, Georgia. It was part of the University System of Georgia which was merged it into Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2017. The college's campus was located on of land just inside the Bainbridge city limits on U.S. Highway 84 East. A separate campus in Blakely, Georgia was Bainbridge College Early County (which was built in 1999 as Albany Technical College. The Early County Satellite Center was bought by Bainbridge College in 2006). There was also a campus in Donalsonville, Georgia that opened in 2016. Students commuted from the nearby towns of Attapulgus, Blakely, Brinson, Cairo, Camilla, Climax, Colquitt, Donalsonville, Iron City, Pelham, Thomasville, and Whigham. Bainbridge is a village and civil parish in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 480. The village is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, near the confluence of the River Bain (England's shortest river) with the River Ure. It is west of the County Town of Northallerton. The civil parish includes Raydale, and a large area of moorland south of the village. It also includes the hamlets of Worton, and Cubeck east of the village. History The Roman name for Bainbridge was '' Virosidum'' and the remains of a Roman Fort are located just east of Bainbridge, on the other side of the river, on Brough Hill, where various Roman remains have been found. United States Naval Training Center Bainbridge (USNTC Bainbridge) was the U.S. Navy Training Center at Port Deposit, Maryland, on the bluffs of the northeast bank of the Susquehanna River. It was active from 1942 to 1976 under the Commander of the Fifth Naval District, based in Norfolk, Virginia. Located on the appropriated campus of the Tome School for boys, the training center sat between various important naval centers of World War II: about northeast of Baltimore, Maryland, and from Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bainbridge is a village in Chenango County, New York, United States. The population was 1,355 at the 2010 census. The village is at the center of the town of Bainbridge and lies between Binghamton and Oneonta. History The first settlement of the village site took place ''circa'' 1789. The village was incorporated in 1821. It was once the home for production of Elmer's Glue. In 1982, many of its historic buildings were included in the Bainbridge Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. The Charles C.
