Bailey Falter
Bailey Falter (born April 24, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Phillies selected Falter in the fifth round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in 2021. Early life Falter was born on April 24, 1997, in Chino Hills, California. As a sophomore at Chino Hills High School in 2013, Falter pitched his first complete game no-hitter, striking out 16 batters in an 11-0 victory over Bloomington High School. Career The Philadelphia Phillies selected Falter in the fifth round (144th overall) of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. After signing, he made his professional debut with the GCL Phillies. In 2016, Falter spent the season with the Low-A Williamsport Crosscutters, pitching to a 1-6 record and 3.17 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 59.2 innings of work. Lehigh Valley IronPigs
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. They are located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and are named in reference to pig iron, used in the manufacturing of steel, for which the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania is well known. The IronPigs play their home games at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown. Following the 2007 season, the Ottawa Lynx relocated to Allentown as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. In conjunction with Major League Baseball's reorganization of Minor League Baseball in 2021, the IronPigs were shifted to the Triple-A East, and returned to the International League in 2022. GCL Phillies
The Florida Complex League Phillies are a Rookie-level affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, competing in the Florida Complex League of Minor League Baseball. Prior to 2021, the team was known as the Gulf Coast League Phillies. The team plays its home games at the Carpenter Complex, in Clearwater, Florida. The team is composed mainly of players who are in their first year of professional baseball as either draftees or non-drafted free agents from the United States, Canada, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and various other countries. History The team first competed in the Gulf Coast League (GCL) in 1984, and has fielded at least one squad in the league continuously since then. In baseball statistics, exit velocity (EV) is the estimated speed at which a batted ball is travelling as it is coming off the player's bat. Batters generally aim for a higher exit velocity in order to give opposing fielders less time to react and attempt a defensive play; however, many batters are still able to accrue hits without a high exit velocity. A pitcher will attempt to limit the exit velocity on the opposing batter's contact in order to allow the fielders or themself a better chance at making an out. Exit velocity was first tracked by Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2015 with the introduction of Statcast. Sandy Koufax
Sanford Koufax (; born Sanford Braun; December 30, 1935) is an American former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played his entire career for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 to 1966. Ryan Patrick McMahon (born December 14, 1994) is an American professional baseball infielder for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career McMahon attended Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California where he played baseball and football.
