Baik Tae-Ung
Baik Tae-Ung (born 1962) is Professor of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law in Honolulu, Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii. He is Director of the Center for Korean Studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. A leading academic authority on transitional justice, social movement, and human rights in Asia, he specializes in international human rights law, comparative law, and Law of South Korea, Korean law. Baik is a well-known former South Korean prisoner of conscience. In 2015, he was appointed to the United Nations Human Rights Council Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) as an independent expert representing the Asia-Pacific region. National Intelligence Service (South Korea)
The National Intelligence Service (NIS; Korean: 국가정보원, 국정원) is the chief intelligence agency of South Korea. South Korean Socialist Workers' Alliance
South Korean Socialist Workers' Alliance (SKSWA; Korean: 남한사회주의노동자동맹), or shortly Sanomaeng (Korean: 사노맹), was South Korean socialist political organisation. Officially launched on 12 November 1989, the organisation was led by Baik Tae-ung and a poet Park Roh-hae. The Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (before 1999, known as the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities) was a think tank of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.
