Baidyapur Jora Deul
Baidyapur Jora Deul is a 16th-century temple at Baidyapur in the Kalna II CD block in the Kalna subdivision of the Purba Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Location Baidyapur is on the Boinchi-Kalna Road and the nearest railway station is Bainchigram railway station on the Howrah-Bardhaman main line. History Baidyapur Jora Deul was built in 1550 by Subhananda Pal. However, the temple seems to have lost its shape and was probably rebuilt at a later date. According to the List of Monuments of National Importance in West Bengal the two ancient temples (joined together) at Baidyapur is an ASI listed monument. Purbasthali

Nadanghat
Nadanghat is a village, with a police station, in the Purbasthali I CD block in Kalna subdivision of Purba Bardhaman district in West Bengal, India. History The Syeds were famed zemindars of the area during Muslim rule and they continued during the British period. When the Muslim League was formed in Dhaka in 1906, it did not have much of an influence in Bardhaman district. Most of the Muslim leaders were with the Congress. In 1919, when Mahatma Gandhi launched the Khilafat movement and followed it up with a non-cooperation movement, Harihar Sen, played an important role in the area.
