Baguio Athletic Bowl
The Baguio Athletic Bowl is a 7-hectare sports complex within the grounds of Burnham Park in Baguio, Philippines. Completed in 1945, it is currently undergoing renovation work. History The Baguio Athletic Bowl was built in 1945. The venue is under the ownership of the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA). Through Executive Order 224 issued by President Fidel V. Ramos on February 10, 1995, transferring the management, administration, and maintenance responsibilities from the PTA to the Baguio City Government. In the early 2000s, the sports complex's Olympic-size swimming pool was built. Burnham Park (Philippines)
Burnham Park, officially known as the Burnham Park Reservation, is a historic urban park located in downtown Baguio, Philippines. It was designed by eponymous American architect and Baguio city planner, Daniel Burnham. Design Burnham Park was envisioned by American architect Daniel Hudson Burnham as part of a larger plan for the city of Baguio in 1905. After having presented the preliminary plans for Baguio and the capital city of Manila, Burnham left the task of interpreting such plans to William E. Parsons. The area where Burnham Park is situated was formerly known as 'Baguio Meadow". Burnham's role in establishing the park is acknowledged through a bust bearing his likeness and a plaque located at one end of the park. The enhanced community quarantine in Luzon was a series of stay-at-home orders and '' cordon sanitaire'' measures implemented by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) on the island of Luzon and its associated islands. It is part of the COVID-19 community quarantines in the Philippines, a larger scale of COVID-19 containment measures with varying degrees of strictness. The "enhanced community quarantine" (ECQ) is the strictest of these measures and is effectively a total lockdown. There were three instances of the ECQ being implemented in Luzon.
