Shin Baek-cheol
Shin Baek-cheol (Hangul: 신백철; born 19 October 1989) is a mixed and men's doubles badminton player from South Korea. He is a World, Asian and World Junior Champions, as well a gold medalists in the Asian Games and Summer Universiade. Career Shin started to play badminton at the age of 8 in Wallgot Elementary School. He later belonged to the badminton team of the Korea National Sport University before moving to Gimcheon City Hall in 2012. In February 2009, Shin replaced Jung Jae-sung as Lee Yong-dae's partner. They won German Open after beating Japan's Kenichi Hayakawa and Kenta Kazuno. Shin and his mixed doubles partner, Yoo Hyun-young, reached the final of Swiss Open in March. Lee Hyun-il ( ko, 이현일; born 17 April 1980) is a former badminton player from South Korea. He is a former World and Asian Championships bronze medalist, and was part of South Korean team that won the 2003 Sudirman Cup as well the gold medals at the 2002 and 2014 Asian Games. Career 2002 Asian Games Lee competed in the 2002 Asian Games where he showed signs of promise as an ace singles player for team Korea. Lee Dong-keun (Hangul: 이동근; or ; born 20 November 1990) is a Korean badminton player specializing in men's singles. He won his first international senior title at the 2011 Vietnam International tournament. Ko Sung-hyun (Hangul: 고성현; ; born 21 May 1987) is a South Korean badminton player affiliated with Gimcheon City Hall. He is a former world number 1 both in the men's and mixed doubles. Ko is a BWF World Champion, two time Badminton Asian Champion, and Asian Games gold medalist. Jeon Hyeok-jin (born 13 June 1995) is a Korean badminton player. Specializing in singles, he was runner-up at the 2013 Asian Junior Badminton Championships. Tan Wee Kiong (; born 21 May 1989) is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He is well-known for his former partnership with Goh V Shem, which began at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Goh V Shem (; born Goh Wei Shem, 20 May 1989) is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He was partnered with Tan Wee Kiong after their outstanding performance at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Goh and Tan won the gold medal for the men's doubles event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as all their matches in the mixed team event, helping Malaysia retain the gold medal for the third consecutive time. Yoo Yeon-seong (; born 19 August 1986) is a South Korean professional badminton player. He specializes in doubles events and was ranked as high as No. 2 worldwide with his former partner, Ko Sung-hyun. The two also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. For a long time he played mixed doubles with Kim Min-jung, but later switched partners to play with Jang Ye-na, starting in 2011. Starting in late 2013, his men's doubles partner was Lee Yong-dae. Together, they reached a world ranking of No.1 in August 2014.
