Baden Langton
Baden Langton was one of several early co-anchors of '' CTV National News'', and worked with anchor Peter Jennings. Langton began in radio with CKPC in Brantford, Ontario before moving to stations in Hamilton and Ottawa where he moved into television and became co-anchor of the CTV National News with Jennings from 1962 until 1964, when he moved to ABC News in the United States where he was soon joined by Jennings. Langton joined ABC Radio, first in New York and then in Washington as White House correspondent on radio and television and as a radio anchor. Langton and his family moved back to Canada in 1967 as their son, Max, was approaching draft age and the Vietnam War was heating up. His wife, Norah Halajian Langton died in 2009. Peter Jennings
Peter Charles Archibald Ewart Jennings (July 29, 1938August 7, 2005) was a Canadian-born American television journalist who served as the sole anchor of ''ABC World News Tonight'' from 1983 until his death from lung cancer in 2005. He dropped out of high school, yet he transformed himself into one of American television's most prominent journalists. Jennings started his career early, hosting a Canadian radio show at age 9. He began his professional career with CJOH-TV in Ottawa during its early years, anchoring the local newscasts and hosting the teen dance show ''Saturday Date'' on Saturdays. In 1965, ABC News tapped him to anchor its flagship evening news program. Critics and others in the television news business attacked his inexperience, making his job difficult. CKPC (1380 kHz, ''Arise Christian Radio AM 1380'') is a commercial AM radio station in Brantford, Ontario. Owned by Evanov Communications, it broadcasts a Christian format. Mornings, afternoons and late nights, the station plays Christian contemporary music. In middays and evenings, CKPC carries Christian talk and teaching shows. The radio studios are at 571 West Street in Brantford. CKPC is powered at 25,000 watts. To protect other stations on 1380 AM from interference, CKPC uses a directional antenna with a six-tower array. White House
The White House is the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States.
