Bad Flirt (band)
Bad Flirt was an indie pop band from Montreal. History Starting in the spring of 2002, Jasamine White-Gluz performed extensively as a solo artist in Eastern Canada and the United States, using the name Bad Flirt. Bad Flirt shared the stage with One Candle Power, Onelinedrawing, The Sleeping, Bayside, Glasseater, and The Unicorns. Bad Flirt released an EP in the summer of 2003 entitled ''The August Issues''; a tour followed this release, during which Bad Flirt played shows with Relapse Records band Buried Inside, Astralwerks dance punk group VHS or BETA, and played at the 2003 edition of POP Montreal International Music Festival. In 2004, Bad Flirt took a break from touring to work on a second EP; it was during this time the project expanded to a band. Bad Flirt enlisted ex-A Vertical Mosaic members Heidi Donnelly and Edmund Lam, as well as guitarist Mark Grinberg. The Bamboozle
The Bamboozle is an annual three-day music festival which was held in New Jersey from 2003 to 2012, and is scheduled for a 2023 revival by its founder. Every year, new bands competed for spots during the two days. The event evolved out of the Skate and Surf Festival. The 2012 event was the final one of its original run, as founder John D'Esposito subsequently left Bamboozle due to creative differences with organizing partners. Oppenheimer (band)
Oppenheimer were an indie pop band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The band was made up of musicians Shaun Robinson and Rocky O'Reilly. Robinson and O'Reilly were previously members of the now disbanded Belfast group, Torgas Valley Reds. They met in 2003, in Belfast. O'Reilly had been mixing sound and recording Torgas Valley Reds, whom Robinson drummed for. Inspired by their mutual love for Moog synthesizers, vocoders, and airhorns, O'Reilly and Robinson formed Oppenheimer in late 2004, using O'Reilly's spare room to record three songs, which they sent to their favourite labels. Oppenheimer's music has been used in various North American television shows, including '' How I Met Your Mother'', in the episode " Lucky Penny", ''Ugly Betty'', and ''Gossip Girl''. Montreal Fringe Festival
The St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival is a festival that hosts fringe theatre, repertory, dance, music, and drag-queen performances in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The festival is held annually and lasts for 20 days in June. The festival was previously run by Jeremy Hechtman and Patrick Goddard, but Hechtman stepped down in 2010 after being in the position for 15 years. The festival has been run since 2011 by choreographer Amy Blackmore. Rilo Kiley ( ) was an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1998, the band consisted of Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Pierre de Reeder, and Dave Rock. The group released their debut album ''Take-Offs and Landings'' under Seattle-based independent label Barsuk Records in 2001. After that, they released three additional studio albums and several EPs.
