''Bad Boys (Music from the Motion Picture)'' is the soundtrack to the 1995 action-comedy film '' Bad Boys''. It was released on March 21, 1995 through Sony Music Entertainment's sub-label Work Records. The album peaked at No. 26 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 13 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The charting singles were "Never Find Someone Like You" by Keith Martin which peaked at No. 42 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, "Someone to Love" by Jon B. featuring Babyface which peaked at No. 10 on the Hot 100 and No. 7 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and " Shy Guy" by Diana King which peaked at No. 13 on the Hot 100 and No. 21 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. Ronnie Wilson
The Gap Band was an American R&B and funk band that rose to fame during the 1970s and 1980s. The band consisted of three brothers: Charlie, Ronnie, and Robert Wilson, along with other members; it was named after streets (Greenwood, Archer, and Pine) in the historic Greenwood neighborhood in the brothers' hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The name "Greenwood, Archer, and Pine Band" originally started as a joke, reflecting the band's origins, and was shortened to GAP Band later. Keith Martin (musician)
Keith Eric Martin (September 22, 1966 – March 25, 2022) was an American R&B singer-songwriter and record producer. He was best known for writing and singing romantic love songs. Career Early years Martin was the second son of three children. Growing up, he listened to the Jackson 5, Prince and the production of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Stevie Wonder. He was also influenced by jazz and gospel music. Martin started playing piano, bass guitar, drums and singing when he was 10. He started writing music when he was nineteen. Martin was a force among local artists in the late 1980s, growing up with close friends Johnny Gill and Stacy Lattisaw and bassist Oteil Burbridge and Kenny Lattimore. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is a music chart published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks R&B and hip hop albums based on sales in the United States and is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. The chart debuted as Hot R&B LPs in the issue dated January 30, 1965 in an effort by the magazine to further expand into the field of rhythm and blues music. It then went through several name changes, being known as Soul LPs in the 1970s and Top Black Albums in the 1980s, before returning to the R&B identification in 1990 and affixing a hip hop designation in 1999 to reflect the latter's growing sales and relationship to R&B during the decade.
