Backstage (2005 Film)
''Backstage'' is a French film directed by Emmanuelle Bercot, released in 2005. It was screened in the Official Selection (Out of Competition) category of the 62nd Venice International Film Festival. Synopsis Lucie, who is 17 years old, is an ordinary teenager and a fan of the popular singer, Lauren Marks, played by Emmanuelle Seigner. One day, Lucie's destiny leads her to enter into the life of her idol. Emmanuelle Bercot (born 6 November 1967) is a French actress, film director and screenwriter. Her film '' Clément'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival. Emmanuelle Seigner (born 22 June 1966) is a French former fashion model, singer, and actress. Agnès Godard (born 28 May 1951) is a French cinematographer. She is most famous for her long-running collaboration with filmmaker Claire Denis. For her work, she has won a César Award. The 62nd annual Venice International Film Festival opened on 31 August 2005 with Tsui Hark's ''Seven Swords'' and closed on 10 September 2005 with a screening of Peter Ho-sun Chan's musical '' Perhaps Love''.
