Back To Mine
''Back to Mine'' is a series of mix albums, usually mixed by DJs or composers of electronic music. The compilations usually feature artists other than the artist compiling the album, and are based on what the artist would play in their home after a night out, rather than as part of a nightclub session. The first volume was released in February 1999 by DJ Nick Warren. Since volume seven, the albums have borne the subtitle "A personal collection for after-hours grooving". ''Back to Mine'' was published by the Disco Mix Club, but ended the series with Volume 28. The artwork for Volumes 6–19 and 25–28 were produced by London-based artist Tommy Penton. ''Back to Mine'' returned in 2019 to celebrate their 20th anniversary with Nightmares on Wax. The album was released on 25 January 2019. ''Back to Mine'' releases * Volume 1 – Nick Warren (1 February 1999) *Volume 2 – Dave Seaman (31 May 1999) *Volume 3 – Danny Tenaglia (18 October 1999) * Volume 4 – Groove Armada (6 Mar ...

Mix Album
A DJ mix or DJ mixset is a sequence of musical tracks typically mixed together to appear as one continuous track. DJ mixes are usually performed using a DJ mixer and multiple sounds sources, such as turntables, CD players, digital audio players or computer sound cards, sometimes with the addition of samplers and effects units, although it is possible to create one using sound editing software. DJ mixing is significantly different from live sound mixing. Remix services were offered beginning in the late 1970s in order to provide music which was more easily beatmixed by DJs for the dancefloor. One of the earliest DJs to refine their mixing skills was DJ Kool Herc. Francis Grasso was the first DJ to use headphones and a basic form of mixing at the New York City nightclub Sanctuary. Upon its release in 2000, Paul Oakenfold's '' Perfecto Presents: Another World'' became the biggest selling DJ mix album in the US. Music A DJ mixes music from genres that fit into the more gene ...

The Orb
The Orb are an English electronic music group founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty. Known for their psychedelic sound, the Orb developed a cult following among clubbers "coming down" from drug-induced highs. Their influential 1991 debut album ''The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld'' pioneered the UK's nascent ambient house movement, while its UK chart-topping follow-up ''U.F.Orb'' represented the genre's commercial peak. Beginning as ambient and dub DJs in London, The Orb's early performances were inspired by electronic artists of the 1970s, most notably Brian Eno, Cluster, and Kraftwerk. The Orb have maintained their signature science fiction aesthetic despite numerous personnel changes, including the departure of Cauty and members Kris Weston, Andy Falconer, Simon Phillips, Nick Burton, and Andy Hughes. Paterson has been the only permanent member, continuing to work as the Orb with Swiss-German producer Thomas Fehlmann, and later, with Martin "Youth ...
