Bernard McEveety
Bernard E. McEveety, Jr. (May 13, 1924 – February 2, 2004) was an American film and television director. Family McEveety was born in New Rochelle, New York; his brothers, Vincent McEveety and Joseph McEveety were also Hollywood directors and producers. His nephew is producer Stephen McEveety, who often collaborates with Mel Gibson (''The Passion of the Christ''). Career McEveety worked primarily in TV, but also directed several feature films. He directed '' The Brotherhood of Satan'' and ''Ride Beyond Vengeance'', and did second-unit work on another cult horror film, ''The Return of Dracula''. Jean Del Val
Jean Del Val (born Jean Jacques Gauthier; 17 November 1891 – 13 March 1975) was a French-born actor, also credited as Jean Gauthier and Jean Gautier. Career He played roles during the Hollywood silent era, beginning with ''The Fortunes of Fifi'' in 1917. During the early days of talkies he served as a translator and vocal coach for French language versions of American-made films. Two of his notable credits include the classic 1942 film ''Casablanca'' in a small role as an announcer for a French radio station in one of the opening scenes, and historical figure Ferdinand Foch in the 1941 film '' Sergeant York'', based on the life of Alvin York. De Sacia Mooers (November 19, 1888 – January 11, 1960) was a film actress, disputably from Los Angeles, California. She appeared in over one hundred movies in the silent film era. She was perhaps best known as the "Blonde Vamp" for her role in ''The Blonde Vampire'' in 1922. Her career ended with talking films. Early life Newspaper accounts of the era differ as to her birthplace. At the time, it was common for the various studios to exaggerate or fabricate an actor's biography to make them seem more exotic and interesting to the general public. One report contends that she was a Los Angeles native and a member of the California Saville family. This is borne out by the fact that she was billed as De Sacia Saville in the serial ''The Son of Tarzan'' (1920). The Savilles were among California's pioneer settlers.
