Back To Basics (The Temptations Album)
''Back to Basics'' is a 1983 studio album from American soul group The Temptations. Recording The Temptations had briefly left their long-time home of Motown for Atlantic Records in the late 1970s, but the two studio albums they released there were not successful and Atlantic released them from their contract. The band returned to Motown in the early 1980s and still struggled to be commercially viable, so they returned to record producer Norman Whitfield, who had recorded several of the band's hits in the 1960s for this album. The group performed at the Motown 25 anniversary concert and then immediately went to the studio for these sessions, but experienced problems with Dennis Edwards being unreliable due to partying and drug abuse and Glenn Leonard also growing disinterested in the band. To compensate, the group brought in Ali-Ollie Woodson (who only performs on one track) and Ron Tyson to replace Leonard. Reception Editors at AllMusic Guide scored this album 2.5 out o ...

22 (album)
''22'' is the eighth studio album by British singer Craig David. It was released on 30 September 2022 through TS5 Label and Moor Records. Critical reception Kyann-Sian Williams of ''NME'' called ''22'' a "nostalgia-loving ..silky R&B revival record". She wrote that "heavily relying on the feel-good nature of classic '00s R&B, Craig David could have dangerously made a gimmicky throwback album. Yet, in a time when many UK R&B fans are crying out for great music and recognition, Craig David not only feeds that appetite but uses his platform to laud up some stars to watch too." Kate French-Morris, writing for ''The Telegraph'', remarked that the album "isn't addled by trends, unlike its 2018 predecessor, which caught David toying with autotune and EDM drops ..A fresh generation of ears have given him a fairer hearing and comeback success. ''22'' is no ''Born to Do It'', but it at least reminds us of that album’s deserved prestige." Chart performance ''22'' debuted at number seve ...
