Back For Good (album)
''Back for Good'' is the seventh studio album by German duo Modern Talking, released on 30 March 1998 by Hansa Records, following the reunion of the duo. The album includes new versions of 11 previous singles, four new songs, two remixes and a medley. ''Back for Good'' debuted atop the German Albums Chart on 13 April 1998 and spent a total of five weeks at the top. It was eventually certified five-times gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI), denoting shipments in excess of 1.25 million units in Germany. The album was also successful outside of Germany, topping the charts in Austria, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Music style The reunion of Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen as Modern Talking resulted in a different sound compared to their original 1980s sound. International Federation of the Phonographic Industry Greece, or simply IFPI Greece, is the Greek branch of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and is the official charts provider and recording sales certification body for Greece. The association compiles and publishes a Top 75 album sales chart. The chart is sponsored by Cyta Hellas. European Top 100 Albums
The European Top 100 Albums chart was the European adaptation of the ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart. It ran from March 1984 until December 2010. Also commonly referred to as Eurochart Top 100 Albums, the chart showcased the sales of an act in 19 European countries based on IFPI data. The European Top 100 combined album sales (both retail and digital) of new and older albums. The methodology was different from the US ''Billboard'' 200, where albums would only be allowed to chart if they weren't 18 months old. If an album older than 18 months had enough sales to enter the 200 chart after having already dropped out of the 100th position, it would chart on The ''U.S. Billboard'' Catalog Albums. Hitlisten, also known as Tracklisten, is a Danish top 40 record chart that is updated every Thursday midnight on the website hitlisten.nu. The weekly Danish singles chart Track Top-40 combines the 40 best-selling tracks from legal music downloads and the sales of music singles on either CD or vinyl. Luis Rodríguez Salazar (born 1948) is a Spanish music producer, arranger, mixer and engineer, known by his role in the co-production of German pop duo Modern Talking. He was also involved up to the 1990s in most of Dieter Bohlen's productions, including C. C. Catch and Blue System, working as co-producer. Biography Rodriguez was born in Fuente el Fresno, Ciudad Real, Spain in 1948. He started at age 12 playing the guitar and playing in the streets. He started as bassist and guitarist in the band Los Esclavos, performing at a flamenco club in Hamburg. When he started to sing he experimented with 2 microphones, one dry without effect s and one with delay and echo. He would do 2-track recordings from the age of 17. He got a gig as DJ and was able to by an 8-track and make more demos. He went to school to become a music technician. Bernd Weidung (born 1 March 1963), known by his stage name Thomas Anders, is a German singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the pop duo Modern Talking. Starting his singing career while still in school, Anders unsuccessfully attempted to establish himself as a Schlager artist for several years. After forming the Eurodisco duo Modern Talking with Dieter Bohlen in 1983, they became a worldwide sensation with their hit "You're My Heart, You're My Soul".
