Bachsas ( Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity) Awards was introduced in 1972 to encourage the fledgling film industry of the country. Bangladesh Cholochchitra Shangbadik Samity (Bangladesh Cine-Journalists' Association) gave out their most prestigious awards to outstanding performers in film, television, music, dance and theatre. History Bachsas Award is the first Bangladeshi award introduced after liberation war. The motto of the award was "Creative films with social commitment" and the symbol was the Royal Bengal Tiger. Ankhi Alamgir is a Bangladeshi singer and actress. ''Agnee'' is a Bangladeshi action film directed by Iftakar Chowdhury and produced by Abdul Aziz under the banner of Jaaz Multimedia banner. Shimul Yusuf
Shimul Yousuf (born 24 March 1957) is a Bangladeshi actress, director and singer. She was awarded the Ekushey Padak, the second most important award for civilians in Bangladesh in 2023. Early life Yousuf was born in Dhaka on 24 March 1957 and is the youngest of seven siblings. Odissi dancer Minu Haque is her sister. Her father Mehter Billah from Bikrampur was a singer in Kamlapur.
