Bachelor Daddy
''Bachelor Daddy'' is a 1941 American comedy film directed by Harold Young and written by Robert Lees and Frederic I. Rinaldo. The film stars Baby Sandy, Edward Everett Horton, Donald Woods, Raymond Walburn, Evelyn Ankers, Kathryn Adams Doty, Franklin Pangborn and Jed Prouty. The film was released on June 4, 1941, by Universal Pictures. Plot When Eleanor Pierce is arrested for selling homemade candy without a license, she sends a letter to "Mr. Smith" at the Bachelor's Club asking him to take care of "their" daughter. The Smith brothers, Joseph and George, accuse their brother Edward of being the father of the child, but they all show up at Eleanor's apartment to take charge of Sandy. Eleanor is released on her own recognizance and returns to claim her daughter, but when she sees the good care Sandy is receiving from her new "uncles" she decides Sandy might be better off with them. Harold Young (director)
Harold Young (November 13, 1897 – March 3, 1972) was an American film director, editor, and occasional actor. Career Young was born in 1897 in Portland, Oregon, where he was raised and attended high school. After graduating from Columbia University, Young began his career as a film editor from 1923-1934, working first on a series of George O'Hara (actor), George O'Hara short subjects under the director Malcolm St. Clair (filmmaker), Malcolm St. Clair. Young's best-known early directorial assignment is probably ''The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934 film), The Scarlet Pimpernel'' (1934), starring Leslie Howard (actor), Leslie Howard and Merle Oberon, one example of his occasional work in Britain. Hardie Albright
Hardie Hunter Albright (born Hardie Hunter Albrecht; December 16, 1903 – December 7, 1975) was an American actor. Early years Albright was born on December 16, 1903, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, to traveling vaudeville performers. He made his stage debut in one of his parents' acts at the age of seven. In June 1926, Albright graduated from Carnegie Tech with a bachelor of arts degree in drama. Career Albright gained acting experience as a member of the repertory company of Eva Le Gallienne. His Broadway debut came in ''Saturday Night'' (1926). He was playing the juvenile lead on the stage in ''The Greeks'' when a scout from the ''Fox Company'' saw him. Juanita Quigley
Juanita Quigley (24 June 1931 – 29 October 2017) was an American child actress in motion pictures of the 1930s and 1940s. She had a sister, Rita Quigley, who was also a child actress. Career Juanita Quigley was billed as "Baby Jane" in several early roles. Her screen debut was as Claudette Colbert's three-year-old daughter in '' Imitation of Life'' (1934).
