Baby (band)
Baby was an American southern rock band from Texas that formed in 1970. Recording history The band's 1974 self-titled album ''Baby'' got the attention of the executives at Mercury Records based on their regional album sales in Texas. The album was remixed and re-released in mid-1975 on Mercury and thereby derived a national distribution network. The follow-up album was called ''Where Did All The Money Go?'' which got released on Chelsea Records Chelsea Records was an American-based record company founded by musician, songwriter, and record producer Wes Farrell in 1972. Southern rock is a subgenre of rock music and a genre of Americana. It developed in the Southern United States from rock and roll, country music, and blues and is focused generally on electric guitars and vocals. Author Scott B. Abilene ( ) is a city in Taylor and Jones Counties in Texas, United States. Its population was 125,182 at the 2020 census, making it the 27th-most populous city in the state of Texas. Mercury Records is an American record label owned by Universal Music Group. It had significant success as an independent operation in the 1940s and 1950s. Smash Records and Fontana Records were sub labels of Mercury.
