Babson-United, Inc. is the institutional successor to the securities analysis and investment management business founded in Boston in 1904 by Roger Babson.: A Short History Originally organized as ''The Office of Roger Babson,'' it was subsequently named ''Babson's Statistical Organization,'' ''Business Statistics Organization,'' and ''Babson's Reports.'' Since 2004, it has operated as a private, family-owned, non-bank holding company, and no longer provides investment news or advice to outside clients. The firm's original investment report was founded during World War I, and had several incarnations, including ''United & Babson Investment Report'' and ''Babson-United Investment Report''. Roger Babson
Roger Ward Babson (July 6, 1875 – March 5, 1967) was an American entrepreneur, economist, and business theorist in the first half of the 20th century. He is best remembered for founding Babson College. He also founded Webber College, now Webber International University, in Babson Park, Florida, and the defunct Utopia College, in Eureka, Kansas. Babson was born to Nathaniel Babson and his wife Ellen Stearns as part of the 10th generation of Babsons to live in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Roger attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology and worked for investment firms before founding Babson's Statistical Organization (1904), which analyzed stocks and business reports; it continues today as Babson-United, Inc. Wellesley () is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Wellesley is part of Greater Boston. The population was 29,550 at the time of the 2020 census. Wellesley College, Babson College, and a campus of Massachusetts Bay Community College are located in the town. History Wellesley was settled in the 1630s as part of Dedham, Massachusetts. WROL
WROL is a radio station in the Boston, Massachusetts radio market. The station is owned by Salem Media Group and is located on 950 kHz on the AM dial. Most of WROL's programming is religious including local ministers as well as national radio hosts such as Dr. Charles Stanley, Jay Sekulow and Eric Metaxas. Former WBZ-TV news anchor-turned-minister Liz Walker also has a program on the station. WROL also airs several Irish music blocks on weekends, including the ''Irish Hit Parade'' on Saturdays and ''A Feast of Irish Music'' on Sundays.
