Babagouda Patil
Babagouda Patil (6 January 1945 – 21 May 2021) was an Indian politician. He was Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Rural Development in the Government of India during Second Vajpayee Ministry. Political career Patil was elected to the Lok Sabha from Belagavi in Karnataka on the Bharatiya Janata Party The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP; ; ) is a political party in India, and one of the two major Indian political parties alongside the Indian National Congress. Since 2014, it has been the ruling political party in India under Narendra Mod ... ticket. Before joining BJP he was founder and chairperson of “Karnataka Rajya Raityasangha” through which he worked for the welfare of Indian farmers. He was active in the farmers' movement in Karnataka. He was the Minister of Rural development in Government of India during 1998 to 1999. Belgavi
Belgaum (ISO 15919, ISO: ''Bēḷagāma''; also Belgaon and officially known as Belagavi) is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka located in its northern part along the Western Ghats. It is the administrative headquarters of the eponymous Belagavi division and Belagavi district.
