Baba Dee
Dare Fasasi, known professionally as Baba Dee, is a Swedish-Nigerian movie director, and dancehall artiste. He was the older brother of Nigerian singer-songwriter, Sound Sultan, with whom he founded a record label named Naija Ninja Entertainment Production Company. Baba Dee's music career began with the release of his debut album in 1997. Education & career Baba Dee earned a bachelor's degree in theatre arts from the University of Ibadan, and a master's degree in directing for stage and feature film. His first shot at music was the Lekki Splash Talent Hunt where he competed against nine other contestants and won in 1995. His win also included a recording contract that ushered him into Nigeria's music industry, after which he secured another recording contract with Astro Entertainment in Sweden, by which he toured Europe with other artistes. Sound Sultan (born Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi; November 27, 1976 – July 11, 2021) was a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, comedian, and recording artist. He was regarded as one of the pacesetters of modern hip hop music in Nigeria. He was notable for using his music to speak against poverty, corruption, bad governance and societal ills in Nigeria. Early life In 1991, he took interest in music and miming at school parties and writing his own lyrics. The Headies 2013 was the 8th edition of The Headies. It was held on 26 December 2013, at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos. The show was hosted by Tiwa Savage and Dr SID. Olamide was the biggest awardee of the night, winning three awards from seven nominations. Phyno won the Best Rap Single category for his song "Man of the Year". D'Tunes, Praiz, and Blackmagic all won for the first time. Sean Tizzle won the Next Rated category and was later awarded a Hyundai Tucson. P-Square is a Nigerian music duo consisting of the twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye. They produced and released their albums through Square Records (now Square Root Entertainment) In December 2011, they signed a record deal with Akon's Konvict Muzik label.
