Baat Cheet
''Baat Cheet'' ( ur, or french: Tête-à-Tête ; English: ''Tête-à-Tête'') is a 2015 Pakistani comedy drama short film by Rayika Choudri. The film stars Sarwat Gilani and Joshinder Chaggar in lead roles. The film won three Gold awards at the 2015 Documentary and Short International Movie Awards in Indonesia ''Baat Cheet'' is participating in the 2015 Short Film Corner category at the Cannes Film Festival as part of a broad showcase of short films from around the world. Outline Anjum and Mehreen are two friends living in Karachi who meet and catch up on recent events in each other's lives. 68th Cannes Film Festival
The 68th Cannes Film Festival was held from 13 to 24 May 2015. Joel and Ethan Coen were the Presidents of the Jury for the main competition. It was the first time that two people chaired the jury. Since the Coen brothers each received a separate vote, they were joined by seven other jurors to form the customary nine-juror panel. French actor Lambert Wilson was the host for the opening and closing ceremonies. The Palme d'Or was awarded to the French film ''Dheepan'' directed by Jacques Audiard. On winning the award Audiard said "To receive a prize from the Coen brothers is something pretty exceptional. I'm very touched". Sarwat Gilani ( ur, ; born 22 December 1982) is a Pakistani model, film, television and voice actress. Film career Gilani made her movie debut in '' Jawani Phir Nahi Aani'' where she played a pregnant Pashtun woman opposite Vasay Chaudhary. She made stage directorial debut with ''Kiski Topi Kiskay Sar''. She also starred in ''Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2'', where she reprised her role as Gul opposite Vasay Chaudhry. A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007.
