"Baarish" () is a Hindi song from the film ''Half Girlfriend''. It is written by Arafat Mehmood and Tanishk Bagchi, and composed by Tanishk Bagchi. It is sung by Ash King. Background According to a report by the Hindustan Times newspaper, singer Jubin Nautiyal claimed he had recorded the song and was shocked when he realized his version was not retained. Reacting to the statement, composer Tanishk Bagchi said they had recorded the song with many singers but found Ash King's version to be the most suitable for the film. Release and response It was released on 11 April 2017 by Zee Music Company on YouTube. The recording by Ash King was well received; within a few days of its release, the music video garnered 10 million views on YouTube. As of August 2017, the official music video of the song has garnered 120 million views on YouTube, making it one of the most streamed Hindi/Bollywood music videos on YouTube. Arjun Kapoor (born 26 June 1985) is an Indian actor working in Hindi films. Born to the Surinder Kapoor family, he is the son of film producer Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie. 10th Mirchi Music Awards
The 10th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best music professionals of Hindi language Indian films of 2017.
