Beaver County Airport
Beaver County Airport or is a county-owned public airport three miles northwest of Beaver Falls, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but Beaver County Airport is BVI to the FAA and BFP to the IATA (which assigned BVI to Birdsville Airport in Birdsville, Queensland, Australia). Facilities The airport covers and has one asphalt runway, 10/28, 4,501 x 100 ft (1,372 x 30 m). In the year ending June 30, 2019, the airport had 66,218 aircraft operations, average 181 per day: 100% general aviation. 114 aircraft are based at this airport: 97 single-engine, 11 multi-engine, 5 jet and 1 helicopter. B-17 ''Nine-O-Nine'' On August 23, 1987, the B-17 Flying Fortress '' Nine-O-Nine'' crashed during an airshow at the airport. The plane was attempting to land but ran off the end of the runway and was badly damaged. After being repaired and continuing flying at airshows across the United States for many ...

Birdsville Airport
Birdsville Airport is an airport serving Birdsville, Queensland, Birdsville, Queensland, Australia. During the Birdsville Races weekend each September, as many as 200 light aircraft visit the airport, with aviators permitted to camp under the wings of their planes. The Channel Mail Run, the world's longest mail run operates between Port Augusta, South Australia and Birdsville, stopping in the town to collect mail for the remote Queensland cattle stations of Glengyle Station, Glengyle and Durrie Station, Durrie. In September 2011, a $1.5 million upgrade was completed which included construction of a new terminal building, resurfacing and the installation of edge lights on runway 14/32 and extensions to the apron area to provide more aircraft parking and manoeuvring space. The upgrade was funded by the Diamantina Shire Council and Queensland Government's Regional Airport Development Scheme, in response to growth in aviation-related tourism leading to increased movements at the ai ...

Body Volume Index
Obesity classification is a ranking of obesity, the medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it has an adverse effect on health.WHO 2000 p. 6 The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies obesity by body mass index (BMI). BMI is further evaluated in terms of fat distribution via the waist–hip ratio and total cardiovascular risk factors.NHLBI p.xiv In children, a healthy weight varies with age and sex, and obesity determination is in relation to a historical normal group. Background Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it has an adverse effect on health. Relative weight and body mass index (BMI) are nearly identical and are reasonable estimates of body fatness as measured by percentage body fat. However, BMI does not account for the wide variation in body fat distribution, and may not correspond to the same degree of fatness or associated health risk in different individuals and popul ...

Visual Impairment
Visual impairment, also known as vision impairment, is a medical definition primarily measured based on an individual's better eye visual acuity; in the absence of treatment such as correctable eyewear, assistive devices, and medical treatment– visual impairment may cause the individual difficulties with normal daily tasks including reading and walking. Low vision is a functional definition of visual impairment that is chronic, uncorrectable with treatment or correctable lenses, and impacts daily living. As such low vision can be used as a disability metric and varies based on an individual's experience, environmental demands, accommodations, and access to services. The American Academy of Ophthalmology defines visual impairment as the best-corrected visual acuity of less than 20/40 in the better eye, and the World Health Organization defines it as a presenting acuity of less than 6/12 in the better eye. The term blindness is used for complete or nearly complete vision loss. In ...

Blade-vortex Interaction
A blade vortex interaction (BVI) is an unsteady phenomenon of three-dimensional nature, which occurs when a rotor blade passes within a close proximity of the shed tip vortices from a previous blade. The aerodynamic interactions represent an important topic of investigation in rotorcraft research field due to the adverse influence produced on rotor noise, particularly in low speed descending flight condition or maneuver, which generates high amplitude impulsive noise. Classes of blade vortex interactions Literature distinguishes different classes of BVIs in helicopter rotors depending on the impacting vortex axis with respect to the blade span. Generally, It can be divided into four distinct types, which will be described as follows: Parallel BVI Parallel BVI occurs when the vortex and the blade axes are nominally parallel. It is the BVI phenomenon that produces the largest-amplitude impulse (harmonic) noise, due to that the unsteady vortex moves towards to the downstream ...
