BVAL
Blossom Valley Athletic League (BVAL) is a high school athletic conference in Santa Clara County, California. It is the county's largest high school sports league and is part of the CIF Central Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. Structure and history Blossom Valley Athletic League comprises 26 high schools in Santa Clara County. The schools are separated into three divisions based on the strength of each specific sports program. The three divisions are Mt. Hamilton, Santa Teresa, and West Valley. It was the first high school sports league in Santa Clara County to cancel its Spring 2020 sports seasons in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Del Mar High School (DMHS) is a four-year, public secondary school established in 1959 in San Jose, California. Independence High School, also referred to as IHS, is a public high school located in the Berryessa district of San Jose, California, United States. The school is operated by the East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD). Its namesake is the United States Declaration of Independence, which celebrated its bicentennial in the same year Independence High was established in 1976. Gilroy High School is a co-educational public school located in Gilroy, California, that serves the city of Gilroy. Branham High School
Branham High School is a secondary school in San Jose, California, located in the Cambrian neighborhood within the West San Jose region. It opened on September 13, 1967, under the Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) and closed in 1991. The District leased the campus to Valley Christian Schools in 1991. The school was reopened by CUHSD in 1999 due to increased enrollment within the district. The school is named after Isaac Branham, a Californian pioneer who became a successful farmer and lumber mill owner.
