BR-285
BR-285 is an east-west Brazilian federal highway that starts in Araranguá, Santa Catarina, and crosses the Gaucho range and highlands. It stretches approximately 674.5 km, passing through cities such as Vacaria, Lagoa Vermelha, Passo Fundo, Carazinho, Ijuí e São Luiz Gonzaga, and ends in São Borja, Rio Grande do Sul, on the border of Argentina. During the summer months, BR-285 receives a large flow of vehicles from Argentina, heading for the beaches of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. The journey is between São Borja (border with Argentina) and Vacaria. From there, drivers who decide to spend the summer on the gaucho beaches descend to Caxias do Sul to take the Ruta del Sol to Terra de Areia. Another alternative is to ascend to Lages, already in the state of Santa Catarina, and from there continue to Florianópolis. Passo Fundo
Passo Fundo is a municipality in the north of the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is named after its river. It's the twelfth largest city in the state with an estimated population of 204,722 inhabitants living in a total municipal area of 780 km2. Passo Fundo is a city well known because of the singer, composer and filmmaker Vitor Mateus Teixeira, better known as Teixeirinha, he was born in the city of Rolante in Rio Grande do Sul, and adopted the city of Passo Fundo as his own, the singer liked a lot from the city, in 1960 he composed the song "Gaúcho de Passo Fundo", which was very successful and made Passo Fundo become a known city throughout Brazil. BR-153
BR-153 is a major federal highway of Brazil, officially named the Transbrasiliana Highway. It also serves as part of the Belém–Brasília Highway in the stretch located between the cities of Wanderlândia, in the state of Tocantins, and Anápolis, in the state of Goiás. It crosses Brazil in a north–south direction, starting in São Domingos do Araguaia, in the state of Pará and ending in Aceguá, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul on the Brazil/Uruguay border. The highway, highly variable in quality and traffic, cuts through the states of Pará, Tocantins, Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. Carazinho is a city located 246 km from Porto Alegre, in the northwest portion of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. Carazinho-RS was founded on 1931 and as of 2020 has a population of 62,265. The BR-287 is a 536.9 km-long ''federal highway'' across the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, also known as the Highway of Integration. It starts in the Region of Porto Alegre, traverses the Center Eastern and Central West, and ends in the Southwest region. Araranguá
Araranguá is a city located in the southern part of Santa Catarina state, in the south of Brazil. It has 68,867 inhabitants and was settled mainly by Portuguese and Italians. Araranguá is known as "A Cidade das Avenidas" ("''The City of the Avenues''") because of its wide roads. History Until the 18th century, the city was inhabited mostly by Carijós and Kaingang Indians.
