BIIK Shymkent ( kk, БИІК-Қазығұрт, BİIK-Qazyğūrt) is a women's football club based in Shymkent, Kazakhstan competing in the Kazakhstani Championship. Formerly established in Almaty as Alma-KTZh, the team won five championships in a row between 2004 and 2008 under this name and represented Kazakhstan in the European Cup, making it into the last 16 in four occasions. It was subsequently surpassed by SShVSM Almaty, but following its refoundation it won the 2010 national cup and the 2011 national championship. The Kazakhstani Women's Cup ( kk, Әйелдер арасындағы Қазақстан Кубогы, ''Áıelder arasyndaǵy Qazaqstan Kýbogy''; Russian: Кубка Казахстана) is an annual women's football competition in Kazakhstan. Format In earlier seasons, unlike most cup competitions, the Kazakhstani Cup was a round-robin tournament and featured no knock-out system. The 2014 cup was played over one week in Shymkent. Six teams were drawn into two groups of three. After a single round-robin, the top two teams per group advanced to the semi-finals. Kazakhstani Women's Football Championship
The Kazakhstani women's football championship is contested in the top level women's football league in Kazakhstan. Before 1991, some Kazakh women's clubs had competed in the Soviet Union women's league system, but after the collapse of the Soviet Union most women's teams left for Russia or simply dissolved. The number of teams varies from year to year. In 2008 there were 4 teams, 7 in 2009 and 5 in 2015. The league is played on several matchdays a summer. With now 5 teams, there will be 4 matchdays, actually about a week long, which features a full round robin (so 10 matches, two per day). CFF Clujana
CFF Clujana is an association football club from Cluj-Napoca in Romania. Clujana's women's football team played in the top domestic league and has won seven consecutive Romanian national championships and four domestic cups. History CFF Clujana was founded in 2001 by the businessman Florin Chelaru in collaboration with Mirel and Teodora Albon. The team manages to win its first title in 2003 and proceeded to establish itself as the most successful Romanian women's football team of the 2000s, being champions for seven consecutive years between 2003 and 2009, and winning four Romanian Cups. In 2009, the coach, Mirel Albon, the brain behind the team's success, left the club due to increasingly divergent views with Chelaru. FK Slovan Duslo Šaľa, the Slovak football club, also has a women's football team. Its women's team won four national championships in a row between 2005 and 2008, consequently representing Slovakia in the European Cup. WFC Rossiyanka was a Russian women's soccer, women's football club from Khimki. History The team was founded in 1990 as Nadezhda Krasnoarmeysk, being initially a futsal club. Futsal was played until 1998, when the club left it to concentrate in association football. Nadezhda played for two years in the Russian First Division (women's football), second tier, attaining 5th and 3rd spots, before being disbanded at the end of the 2000 season, with most players moving to newly founded Nadezhda Noginsk. The Valur women's football team, commonly known as Valur, is the women's football department of the Valur multi-sport club. It is based in Reykjavík, Iceland, and currently plays in the Úrvalsdeild kvenna, the top-tier women's football league in Iceland. The team plays it home games at Hlíðarendi located in Reykjavík. Djurgårdens IF (formerly Djurgården/Älvsjö (2003–2007)) is a football club from Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
