BD1 Gallery
''BD1 Gallery'' is an art gallery in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, that opened in 2017 with an exhibition of the work of music photographer Lawrence Watson, showcasing portraits from Watson's 30-plus year career, including images of Oasis, David Bowie, Morrissey, Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Snoop Dogg, Issac Hayes, Run DMC and George Clinton. Founder The BD1 Gallery was founded by Sam Brown, a cinematographer/DP in the film industry for 25-years who has worked on music videos for Madonna ('' Give It 2 Me'' with Pharrell Williams), Foals, The Last Shadow Puppets, Moby, Scott Walker, and Dirty Pretty Things. Brown is a former Bradford resident who moved from London back to Bradford to open the BD1 Gallery. Bradford
Bradford is a city and the administrative centre of the City of Bradford district in West Yorkshire, England. The city is in the Pennines' eastern foothills on the banks of the Bradford Beck. Impressions Gallery
Impressions Gallery is an independent contemporary photography gallery in Bradford, England. It was established in 1972 and located in York until moving to Bradford in 2007. Impressions Gallery also runs a photography bookshop, publishes its own books and sells prints. It is one of the oldest venues for contemporary photography in Europe. Operations Impressions Gallery is a charity, a not-for-profit organisation, funded by Arts Council England and Bradford Metropolitan District Council. Dirty Pretty Things (band)
Dirty Pretty Things were an English band fronted by Carl Barât, a member of The Libertines. The formation of the band was announced in September 2005, after a dispute between Barât and Pete Doherty led to the breakup of The Libertines in 2004. Barât had worked with Vertigo Records and had previously revealed that his new project was with the label. Didz Hammond announced he was leaving the Cooper Temple Clause to join the band alongside Libertines drummer Gary Powell and guitarist Anthony Rossomando, who had filled in for Doherty following his departure from The Libertines. Noel Scott Engel (January 9, 1943 – March 22, 2019), better known by his stage name Scott Walker, was an American-British singer-songwriter, composer and record producer who resided in England. Foals, stylised as FOALS, are a British rock band formed in Oxford in 2005. The band's current line-up consists of Greek-born lead vocalist and guitarist Yannis Philippakis, drummer and percussionist Jack Bevan and rhythm guitarist Jimmy Smith.
