BC Titans
The BC Titans were a professional basketball team in the International Basketball League located in Langley, British Columbia. The team name was announced on April 2, 2008 and the Titans started play in 2009. The Titans played all home games at the Langley Events Centre. The Titans joined the International Basketball League as the second Canadian team, after the Edmonton Energy. They were previously known as the Vancouver Titans. To reduce confusion with the Vancouver Volcanoes, the Titans changed their name to the BC Titans for the 2010 season. International Basketball League
The International Basketball League (IBL) was a semi-professional men's basketball league featuring teams from the West Coast of the United States. In 2010 the Albany Legends became the first team in the Northeastern United States to join. The IBL also sometimes featured teams from China and Japan which temporarily relocated to the United States for the IBL season. The IBL season typically ran from the end of March through July. Langley Events Centre
The Langley Events Centre is a multipurpose facility in the Township of Langley, British Columbia, Canada. The LEC debuted in April 2009, hosting the 2009 BC Gymnastics Championships. It boasts an arena bowl with a 5,276 capacity for sports, including 24 individual suites. The LEC also showcases a triple Gymnasium with a capacity of 2,200 spectators under its centre court configuration. The Township of Langley is a district municipality immediately east of the City of Surrey in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. Edmonton Energy
The Edmonton Energy is a professional basketball team in the International Basketball League, formerly known as the Edmonton Chill. The Chill name was revoked in August 2008, after allegations of misconduct were filed with the league regarding Troy Barns, the majority shareholder in the team. On 27 January 2009, The Edmonton Chill were renamed the Edmonton Energy. Eleven local business owners, led by businessman, chartered accountant, and mayoral candidate David Dorward came together to keep the IBL in Edmonton. Paul Sir was head coach and general manager of the Edmonton Energy. The Vancouver Volcanoes are a professional basketball team that plays in The Basketball League (TBL) based in Vancouver, Washington. Previously, the team competed in the International Basketball League The team has played at several arenas throughout their existence and will play in the O'Connell Sports Center.
