BC Savanoris
BC Savanoris ( lt, Krepšinio Klubas Savanoris) is basketball club of Alytus, Lithuania. It was founded in 2011 and replaced BC Alytus in national pyramid of basketball. Because of shortage of direct links with BC Alytus, club started competing in the third tier of Lithuanian basketball, called RKL. Despite the declared aim of getting promotion to second tier, NKL, BC Savanoris lost to BC Olimpas in round of eight-final. Alytus Arena
The Alytus Arena is a universal indoor arena in Alytus, Lithuania. It was opened in 1977. Its reconstruction began in 2009 and was completed by the end of 2010. Alytus
Alytus is a city with municipal rights in southern Lithuania. It is the capital of Alytus County. Its population in 2022 was 53,925. Alytus is the historical centre of the Dzūkija region. BC Alytus ( lt, Krepšinio Klubas Alytus) is the historical basketball club of Alytus, Lithuania. KK Olimpas is a basketball team based in Plungė, Lithuania. The team currently competes in the third-tier Regional Basketball League (RKL). The club previously competed in the first-tier Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and second-tier National Basketball League (NKL). History The team was founded in 1989.
