''Butterfly Blue'' is the debut studio album by Australian singer songwriter Mallrat. It was announced on 2 March 2022, alongside single, "Teeth". Upon announcement, Mallrat said "I've always valued music that is interesting, beautiful, and unpretentious. Something timeless and not reactive. ''Butterfly Blue'' was made with that in mind. It's a demonstration of not pretending to be anyone else." ''Butterfly Blue'' was released on 13 May 2022 and peaked at number 6 on the ARIA Charts. Mallrat promoted the album with an Australian regional tour in November and December 2022. In February 2023, Mallrat announced the ''2023 Butterfly Blue Australian'' shows, commencing on 12 May 2023, on the eve of the album's first birthday, performing in state capitals. Grace Kathleen Elizabeth Shaw (born 25 September 1998), known professionally as Mallrat, is an Australian musician, singer, and rapper from Brisbane. Mallrat has released three EPs: ''Uninvited'' (2016), ''In the Sky'' (2018) and '' Driving Music'' (2019). She also released her full-length debut studio album titled ''Butterfly Blue'' (2022) in May 2022 to critical acclaim. Gabriel Strum, known professionally as Japanese Wallpaper, is an Australian indie pop singer-songwriter and producer. He released his debut single "Breathe In" featuring Wafia on 10 October 2013. The song featured in Zach Braff's film '' Wish I Was Here''. Strum has had three songs feature in the Triple J Hottest 100: "Between Friends" featuring Jesse Davidson at No. 97 (2014), "Forces" featuring Airling at No. 69 (2015) and " In Motion" featuring Allday at No. 44 (2017). David Roback
David Edward Roback (April 4, 1958 – February 24, 2020) was an American guitarist, songwriter and producer, best known as a founding member of the alternative rock band Mazzy Star. Early life Roback was born on April 4, 1958 and raised in Los Angeles, California, a son of nurse Rosemary (née Hunter) and physician George Roback. He graduated from Palisades High School, before studying art at Carleton College and the University of California in Berkeley. He and his brother Stephen Roback, a bass guitarist, formed the band Unconscious alongside Susanna Hoffs, who would go on to become a member of The Bangles. "Fade into You" is a song by American alternative rock band Mazzy Star from their second studio album, '' So Tonight That I Might See'' (1993). The song was written by lyricist Hope Sandoval and composer David Roback, who also served as producer. Isaac Sakima (born 20 March 1991), known professionally as Sakima, is an English singer-songwriter and producer.
