Burns And Poe
Burns & Poe was an American country music duo composed of Keith Burns and Michelle Poe. The duo was founded in 2007 after Burns left the group Trick Pony. Poe was once a solo artist for DreamWorks Nashville, and later played bass guitar for Dierks Bentley and Hank Williams Jr. The two met in 2007 while Burns was holding auditions to recruit a new lead singer for Trick Pony after Aubrey Collins (who had replaced original lead singer Heidi Newfield just months earlier) left. They released a two-disc, self-titled album in late 2010 through their website, followed by a Christmas single titled "Hear the Angels Singing" in November of that year. Blue Steel Records gave it a wide release in 2011. The same year, ''Music Row'' magazine awarded them as Independent Artist of the Year. They promoted the dual album on tour in 2011. CMA Music Festival
The CMA Music Festival is a four-day music festival centered on country music, hosted each June by the Country Music Association (CMA) in Nashville, Tennessee. Beginning in 1972 under the name Fan Fair, the event now draws over 400 artists and celebrities who hold autograph sessions and perform in concerts offered throughout the festival. Half of the proceeds from the festival each year (estimated at US$200,000 in 2001) are donated to charity, while the other half is earmarked by the CMA for "the advancement of country music". Great American Family is an American cable television network. Owned by Great American Media, it broadcasts family-oriented general entertainment programming, including television series and made-for-TV movies. Heidi Kay Newfield (born October 4, 1970) is an American country music artist. She was lead singer, rhythm guitarist and harmonica player for the group Trick Pony, alongside Keith Burns and Ira Dean from 1996 until 2006, when she left in pursuit of a solo career. Newfield has begun her solo career on Curb Records, debuting in 2008 with the single, "Johnny & June."
