Air Sovereignty
Air sovereignty is the fundamental right of a sovereign state to regulate the use of its airspace and enforce its own aviation law – ''in extremis'' by the use of fighter aircraft. The upper limit of national airspace is not defined by international law. NATO air policing As part of the principle of collective defence in peacetime NATO members carry out air policing missions to protect the integrity of Allied airspace. As part of the mission aircraft are used in a Quick Reaction Air role to respond to both civilian and military aircraft in distress and any aircraft that approach allied airspace and fail to identify themselves, fail to communicate with Air Traffic Control or fail to file a flight plan. A number of NATO countries cannot sustain a force of quick reaction aircraft, so aircraft of other member states provide cover, such as in the Baltic Air Policing, Baltic Area and Icelandic Air Policing, Icelandic Area.In the Benelux area (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) ...

Amtsgericht München

These courts form the lowest level of the so-called ' ordinary jurisdiction' of the German judiciary (German ''Ordentliche Gerichtsbarkeit''), which is responsible for most criminal and civil judicial matters. The German ''Amtsgericht'' may be compared to the magistrates' courts in England and Wales, although it has much broader sentencing powers. Its name derives from the ''Amt'' as a denomination for an administrative and court district in many of the territories of the Holy Roman Empire. The main areas of an ''Amtsgericht's'' jurisdiction are: * court of first instance for civil case where the subject of litigation is worth €5,000 or less, and for litigation involving rental agreements, marriages, alimony and child custody. * court of first instance for criminal cases where no more than four years imprisonment is expected.
