Bukit Saban is a town in the district of Spaoh, Betong Division, Sarawak. The area was a tourist resort A resort (North American English) is a self-contained commercial establishment that tries to provide most of a vacationer's wants, such as food, drink, swimming, lodging, sports, entertainment, and shopping, on the premises. Spaoh
Spaoh is a small town and a sub-district in Betong District, Betong Division in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia. Geographically (not administratively), Spaoh is divided into areas such as Ili Pasar Spaoh (Spaoh downriver),Buda Area, Paku Ili (Brutan), Ulu Paku and Ulu Anyut. History Small Spaoh was established by the Chinese People Hakka Chinese in 1946. Back then, there were four blocks of shops, with eight shops in each block. These four blocks of shops encircled Spaoh Wharf. Presently, the Spaoh town still consists of these four block of shops. Economy The town throve in the 1960s following the boom in rubber prices. Rubber products were shipped out from Spaoh to Kuching via the small settlement of Pusa ''Pusa'' is a genus of the earless seals, within the family Phocidae. Betong Division
Betong Division, formed on 26 March 2002, is one of the twelve administrative divisions in Sarawak, Malaysia. Formerly part of Sri Aman Division, Betong is in the Saribas area. It has a total area of 4,180.8 square kilometres, and is the smallest of the administrative divisions of Sarawak. Saribas is famous for its Iban longhouses and is regarded as the center for Iban culture. It was annexed to Sarawak by Rajah James Brooke, after his victory over the Sekrang and Saribas Iban at the Battle of Beting Maru on 31 July 1849. Betong Division contains two administrative districts: Betong and Saratok. The total population is 99,800. The population is culturally mixed, with the majority Iban interacting well with the Malay and Chinese in almost all spheres of activity since the pre-colonial days. Sarawak

A resort (North American English) is a self-contained commercial establishment that tries to provide most of a vacationer's wants, such as food, drink, swimming, lodging, sports, entertainment, and shopping, on the premises. The term ''resort'' may be used for a hotel property that provides an array of amenities, typically including entertainment and recreational activities. A hotel is frequently a central feature of a resort, such as the Grand Hotel at Mackinac Island, Michigan. Some resorts are also condominium complexes that are timeshares or owned fractionally or wholly owned condominium. A resort is not always a commercial establishment operated by a single company, but in the late 20th century, that sort of facility became more common. Malaysian National Service
The National Service Training Programme, or Program Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN), known locally as the ''Khidmat Negara'' ("National Service") was Malaysia's national service program under the Barisan Nasional (BN) government. The programme was handled by the National Service Training Department, or ''Jabatan Latihan Khidmat Negara'' (JLKN) under the Minister of Defence (MINDEF). The conscripts are 18-year-old youths that are selectively drafted. The three-month program, which started in December 2003, began as way to encourage friendship between youths of certain ages from different races and ethnic groups and address concerns that the country's multi-ethnic and multi-cultural groups who were seen of "becoming increasingly isolated from one another". The program was halted for one year in 2015 due to the federal government's efforts to cut spending.
