Bukit Jalil
Bukit Jalil is an affluent suburb in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is bounded by the National Sports Complex on the east, the Shah Alam Expressway on the north, city boundaries to the west, and the Puchong–Sungai Besi Highway as well as city boundaries to the south. It was known as the Bukit Jalil Estate until 1992, when the National Sports Complex was developed for the 1998 Commonwealth Games. The suburb was used as a filming location for the 1999 movie Entrapment, although the sign was changed to that of Pudu. Transportation Bukit Jalil is strategically connected to other parts of Klang Valley via the Damansara–Puchong Expressway (LDP) and Puchong–Sungai Besi Highway. It is also accessible via the KESAS Highway, Maju Expressway, MEX Highway and New Pantai Expressway (NPE). The Bukit Jalil Highway, or Puchong–Sungai Besi Highway, Federal Route 217, is a major highway in Klang Valley, Malaysia. It is a toll-free and also a second highway after Shah Alam Expressway E5. It connects the Sungai Besi Expressway E9 near Selangor Turf Club in the east to Damansara–Puchong Expressway E11 near Puchong Jaya in the west. The highway passes Bandar Kinrara and Bukit Jalil. The Kilometre Zero of the highway starts at Puchong Jaya Interchange near Puchong, Selangor. The Kilometre Zero monument is erected near Pos Malaysia Deliver Branch at Puchong Town Centre in Puchong. Bukit Jalil LRT station is an LRT station in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is operated under the Sri Petaling Line ''(formerly known as STAR LRT)''. This station is used by many sports fans due to its proximity to the KL Sports City (formerly known as National Sports Complex). This station opens at 6.00am and closes at 11.25pm daily, although during major events, its operating hours are extended. Location Bukit Jalil LRT station is located after the Sungai Besi LRT station and before the former terminus of Sri Petaling Line, the Sri Petaling LRT station. The Bukit Jalil National Stadium (Malay: Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil) in Bukit Jalil, located in the National Sports Complex to the south of the city centre of Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur, is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium and the home ground of the Malaysian national football team. With a capacity of 87,411, it is the largest in Southeast Asia, third largest in Asia, and the eighth largest football stadium in the world. It was officially inaugurated by the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, on 11 July 1998 ahead of the 1998 Commonwealth Games and staged the opening ceremony.
