Hogan's Heroes was an American hardcore punk band formed in New Jersey in 1984.Rotsaert, Rick. ''Rickter Scale''. Thrasher Magazine, May 1992, p. 70. During their time they recorded three full lengths for California label New Red Archives. The band broke up in 1993. History Early years (1984–1986) Hogan's Heroes was formed in the shore area of South Central, New Jersey in 1984 by George Barberio (lead guitar), Matt Gunvordahl (drums), and Scott Cassidy (vocals). After a short stint as Impossible Task, the band added bassist John Cuccinello who wanted to call the band Hogan's Heroes. Kent McClard
Kent McClard is a record label owner and zine publisher from Goleta, California. Early life McClard grew up in a "broken home" and describes himself as a troublesome child. As a teenager, he discovered hardcore punk and both its freedom and specific ethics influenced him deeply and helped to "define" his life. From then on, he began several DIY ethic, DIY enterprises, including the first show and the first fanzine of his town. Ebullition Records In early 1990, the former ''Maximumrocknroll'' columnist started Ebullition Records with contributions from Sonia Skindrud (writer of the zine ''Exedra'') and Brent Stephens (member of Downcast). Skindrud came up with the name and Stephens drew the logo, but the label is primarily run by McClard. Caroline Records is a record label originally founded in 1973. Initially founded in the United Kingdom to showcase British progressive rock groups, the label ceased releasing titles in 1976, and then re-emerged in the United States in 1986. The label released the work of American punk rock, thrash metal and new wave music bands.
