Building 429
Building 429 is an American Christian rock band from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Their name is derived from a Biblical passage known as Ephesians 4:29, which, in the New International Version of the Bible, reads as follows: "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." The band members originated from Snyder Memorial Baptist Church and various areas in North Carolina as well as Texas. They were named as the Gospel Music Association 2005 New Artist of the Year (Dove Award), New Artist of the Year. Paul Moak (born July 8, 1979) is an American producer, engineer, mixer, and multi-instrumentalist currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee. Christopher Stevens (born November 29, 1967), was an American record producer, mix-engineer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, Tennessee. Early and personal life Stevens was born Christopher Edmund Stevens, on November 29, 1967, in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated from North Eugene High School and studied electronics at Lane Community College. After working as a composer for video games in the 1990s, Stevens eventually relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue songwriting and record production full-time. Credits awards and accomplishments Chris Stevens has produced and mixed contemporary Christian music artists TobyMac, and ''American Idol'' finalists Mandisa and Colton Dixon, among others. Composition The song "Listen to the Sound" was written according to the lead singer Jason Roy because "the idea behind the title track for the record is looking at the noisy world we live in and thinking about how much noise we're adding to it...my barometer is myself and I talk so much that I rarely take time to hear the sound of God's voice!
