Bucklands Beach AFC is a semi-professional football club based in Bucklands Beach, New Zealand. It currently competes in the NRFL Northern Conference. Having won promotion to the NRFL Division 2 for the first time in the 2016 season, Bucklands Beach immediately won promotion to NRFL Division 1 in 2017. The club has also completed in the Chatham Cup a number of times including every year since 2013. Bucklands Beach is a suburb east of Auckland's CBD in New Zealand. The suburb is in the Howick ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council. Demographics Bucklands Beach covers and had an estimated population of as of with a population density of people per km2. Bucklands Beach had a population of 9,042 at the 2018 New Zealand census, an increase of 225 people (2.6%) since the 2013 census, and an increase of 444 people (5.2%) since the 2006 census. NRFL Conference
The Northern Regional Football League Conference, currently known as Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Conference for sponsorship reasons, is a New Zealand amateur football league. The league is run by the Auckland Football Federation and includes football clubs located in the northern part of the North Island, New Zealand. It is open to clubs from the Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty provinces. Up until 2022, the competition was known as NRFL Division 2, and was not split into Northern and Southern competitions. The fixtures are played generally from April to September. Clubs are able to win promotion to NRFL Championship. The current champions as of the 2022 season are Hibiscus Coast. The Chatham Cup is New Zealand's premier knockout tournament in men's association football. It is held annually, with the final contested in September. East Coast Bays AFC
East Coast Bays is a football club located on Auckland's North Shore. The club has won the Chatham Cup and the NRFL Premier Division three times. History East Coast Bays were founded following a public meeting held at the Progressive Hall (since demolished and replaced by the Bays Club) in October 1958. The committee formed from this meeting entered four junior teams for the start of the 1959 season. As some of the committee members were supporters of Glasgow Rangers, the colours of Royal Blue shirts, white shorts, and royal Blue sox were adopted. East Coast Bays picked The Maxwell Farm as its ground with the pitch running north to south. The old Progress Hall on the site was adapted to serve as clubrooms.
