Bubbleville
Bubbleville was a series of early-season college basketball showcases held at the Mohegan Sun resort in Uncasville, Connecticut, during the opening months of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's and women's basketball seasons. Organized by Gazelle Group and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the series featured a number of events normally hosted by the bodies, moved to a bubble due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. There were 46 games scheduled, but only 26 were played, leaving 20 games canceled due to COVID-19 issues. The 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 25, 2020 and concluded on March 14, 2021. The 2021 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament culminated the season and began on March 18 and concluded on April 5. In United States colleges, top-tier basketball is governed by collegiate athletic bodies including National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Hall Of Fame Tip Off
The Hall of Fame Tip Off is an NCAA-exempt tournament organized by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and is sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. It features four team NCAA Division I (NCAA), Division I college basketball, men’s basketball teams. The tournament takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Under the previous format teams were separated into two divisions, the Springfield and Naismith. Each division had 4 teams. Legends Classic (basketball Tournament)
The Legends Classic is an annual, early-season, college basketball tournament which started in 2007 and takes place at the beginning of the college basketball season in November. Four teams (from four conferences) compete in the Legends Classic. The tournament has been held at various venues in the New York metropolitan area, primarily the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The 2023 Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper will feature Auburn, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State and St. Bonaventure. It will be held November 16th and 17th at the Barclays Center. History The Legends Classic began in 2007 with the first two events being played at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The Empire Classic, formerly known as the 2K Sports Classic, is an annual college basketball event played in November at the beginning of the season and televised by ESPN. Originally known as the Atlantic City Shootout and produced by the Gazelle Group, Inc., the event was first played in 1995. The following year, it became the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic as a collaboration between the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society in an effort to raise funds for cancer research. In 2012, the tournament beneficiary became Wounded Warrior Project, resulting in the tournament being renamed the 2K Sports Classic.
