Bruno Bianchi (cartoonist)
Bruno Bianchi (, 6 September 1955 – 2 December 2011) was a French cartoonist, comics artist and animation director. Bianchi worked extensively as an artist, director and producer on animated television productions; including '' Heathcliff'', ''Iznogoud'' and most notably, ''Inspector Gadget'', which he also co-created. Career Bianchi started his career at DiC Audiovisuel (later DiC Entertainment) in 1977 at age 22 as a cel painter, then gradually assumed creative positions. His first director's credit was on the 1980 edutainment mini-series '' Archibald le Magichien'' (directly translated: ''Archibald the Magic Dog''). In 1983, Bianchi scored his first major directing job on ''Inspector Gadget'', a series he co-created with Andy Heyward and DiC's founder Jean Chalopin. Chartres
Chartres () is the prefecture of the Eure-et-Loir department in the Centre-Val de Loire region in France. It is located about southwest of Paris. ''Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors'' (French: ''Jayce et les Conquérants de la Lumière'') is an animated TV show which was first broadcast on TF1 on September 9, 1985 on the block ''Salut les p'tits loups !'', and eventually on September 16 in the United States in syndication. It was produced by DIC Audiovisuel (originally distributed for syndication by SFM Entertainment) and animated by the Japanese animation studios Sunrise, Shaft, Studio Giants, Studio Look and Swan Production. ''The Why Why Family'' (french: Les Kikekoi, also known as ''Saban's The Why Why Family'') is an animated children's television series, which originally aired in 1996, produced by Saban International Paris and Saban Entertainment. The show was broadcast internationally on Fox Kids. Character designs and comedy elements emulate vintage cartoons. In the United States, the series aired as part of a syndicated strand of Saban programmes called the "Saban Kids Network". With the series airing on the strand to the guidelines of the Federal Communications Commission, it marked Saban's first entry into the educational television market. A co-production between Saban International Paris and TF1, with the participation of Canal+ and the CNC, the series focuses on Carlos (Based on Carlos Dolto, a French singer and celebrity) and his parrot Oscar, and three adopted children who live on Carlos' own tropical Island. With the help of Grandma Tadpole, who lives on one of the beaches of the island, he travels back in time together with the children in order to prove to them that he is right. ''Popples'' is an animated television series, based on the Popples toys, created by Marie Cisterino, Janet Jones, Fran Kariotakis, Janet Redding, and Susan Trentel, that aired in syndication in the United States from 1986 to 1987 and Sky Channel in the United Kingdom from 1987 to 1988. The cartoon was produced by DIC Enterprises and LBS Communications in association with The Maltese Companies. Like the toys which they are based on, the Popples resemble colorful teddy bears/rabbits with long, pompom-tipped tails, and they have pouches on their backs that allow them to curl into a fuzzy ball. All the Popples stutter when they say words with the letter "P" in them. Soleil Productions is a French publisher of both original and imported comic books. History Soleil was founded in 1989 in Toulouse.
