''The Price is Right'' is a British game show based on the The Price Is Right (American game show), US version of the same name. It originally aired on ITV (TV network), ITV from 24 March 1984 to 8 April 1988 and was hosted by Leslie Crowther. The show later briefly moved to Sky 1, Sky One for one series as ''The New Price is Right'' from 4 September 1989 to 31 August 1990 with Bob Warman as the host. The show returned to ITV in 1995 hosted by Bruce Forsyth. It returned to ITV, as ''Bruce's Price is Right'', from 4 September 1995 to 16 December 2001 with Bruce Forsyth hosting for seven series, and again on the same channel from 8 May 2006 until 12 January 2007, this time hosted by Joe Pasquale. Two one-off specials aired as part of ITV's Gameshow Marathon (British game show), ''Gameshow Marathon'' in September 2005 and April 2007. Bob Stewart (television)
Bob Stewart (born Isidore L. Steinberg; August 27, 1920 – May 4, 2012) was an American television game show producer. He was active in the TV industry from 1956 until his retirement in 1991. Stewart is known for creating some of the most popular game shows for Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions. These shows include '' To Tell the Truth'', ''Password'', and ''The Price Is Right.'' His biggest success as an independent producer was the ''Pyramid'' series, starting with ''The $10,000 Pyramid'' in 1973. ''The Price Is Right'', created by Stewart, is the only game show to be seen nationally in either first-run network or syndication airings in the US in every decade from the 1950s onward. After a quick retrospective look at the history of the particular show, the show itself is recreated.
