Stevenson-Pincince Field
Stevenson-Pincince Field is a stadium in Providence, Rhode Island on the campus of Brown University. It is home to the Brown Bears soccer and lacrosse programs. Name The stadium was named in 1979 for longtime men's soccer coach Cliff Stevenson, who was successful in establishing a men's soccer program at Brown during the 1960s. Corruption undermined that success in the 1970s and 1980s during which time, as he recruited many exceptionally weak players, Stevenson frequently dressed ringers (including former professional soccer players who were working in the university's Buildings and Grounds department) and sent them into games as if they were student players. Thus in 2015, the facility was renamed Stevenson-Pincince Field to also honor longtime women's soccer coach Phil Pincince. Cory Gibbs
Cory Gibbs (born January 14, 1980) is an American former soccer player. He played professionally for clubs in Germany, the Netherlands and England. He also played 19 international matches for the U.S. national soccer team, including at the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Career College and amateur Gibbs was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He played college soccer at Brown University, joining the team in 1997. During his career, Brown won three Ivy League Championships and participated in the NCAA Tournament all four years. Dylan Remick
Dylan Remick (born May 19, 1991) is a retired American soccer player who played for Seattle Sounders FC and the Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer. He graduated from Brown University in 2012 and was selected the following year by Seattle in the MLS SuperDraft. Career College and amateur Remick spent all four years of his college career at Brown University. While at Brown, he was a member of "Los Banditos". He majored in biology and pre-med studies while at Brown. Remick had played in high school as a centerback, was switched to a leftback in his freshman year at brown. In his freshman year, he made 17 appearances for the Bears and finished the year with two goals and an assist. Steve Ralbovsky is a Yugoslav-American former soccer player. He was the 1975 Hermann Trophy winner as the outstanding collegiate soccer player of the year. He then had an extensive professional career including time in the North American Soccer League and the American Soccer League II and III. Fred "Fredy" Pereira (born February 17, 1954) is a former Portuguese-American soccer forward who spent three seasons in the North American Soccer League and earned six caps with the U.S. national team in 1977. High school and college Born in Valdanta, Portugal, Pereira moved with his family to the United States when he was twelve. He attended Ludlow High School in Ludlow, Massachusetts and completed a post-graduate year at Suffield Academy, Suffield, Connecticut. In 2007 Ludlow High School inducted Pereira into its Athletic Hall of Fame. At Suffield, along with Gambian teammate Daniel Njie, Pereira led the team to the New England Prep Championship. Thomas Liam McNamara (born February 6, 1991) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club New England Revolution. Career Early career Thomas McNamara was born in West Nyack, NY. McNamara played high school soccer at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ, and played club soccer for FC Westchester. McNamara played college soccer at Brown University for four years before spending a fifth year playing college soccer for Clemson University in 2013. Chris Fox (born July 30, 1974) is a retired American soccer Defender (association football), defender who played professionally in the NPSL II, National Professional Soccer League and USL First Division. Fox attended Brown University, where he was a 1995 First Team All Ivy soccer player. After graduating from Brown, Fox signed with the New York Fever of the A-League (1995–2004), A-League. The Fever waived Fox in August 1996 and the Atlanta Ruckus immediately signed him. In addition to his outdoor career, Fox also played indoor soccer. Benjamin Brewster is an American retired soccer forward who earned one caps, scoring a single goal, as a member of the U.S. national team in 1973. He played three seasons in the North American Soccer League and at least two in the American Soccer League.
